MTC mentors are matched with high-school students. The role of the mentor is to be a good listener, a source of support and encouragement, and a caring guide who inspires hope for a bright future.
Working with elementary and middle school students, tutors volunteer in classrooms and after-school homework programs, helping with basic skills including reading, math, science and more. The role of the tutor is to be an academic helper and a source of support and encouragement.

“It is truly such a big help to have this program. I would love to get more than one tutor per week!”
“We have fun, but also we have serious conversations about my life and her life. She doesn’t treat me like a child.”
